All of Clipper Nation held its collective breath when Chris Paul left L.A.’s loss to the Grizzlies last night. Originally thought to be a strained groin – the same injury that kept CP3 out for parts of the regular season – was revealed to be a hip flexor concern later on. Paul says he will play Friday night’s Game 6 at Staples Center, hurting or not.
“I’m playing Friday,” Paul said. “I tried to go [late in the fourth quarter] but I couldn’t. All that matters is that I’ll be good to go on Friday. There’s a difference between being hurt and being injured.
“We’ll go back home and get our fans [help].”
