The LA Clippers and Utah Jazz were matched up in a grueling contest on Monday night. The Jazz came out on top with a 114-108 win in what could be a first-round playoff series preview.
But the story of the game was not the final scoreline. Instead, it was the multiple fouls, words, and scrums between the two teams.
At one point, Clippers point guard Chris Paul and Jazz center Rudy Gobert got particularly scrappy. The two had to be separated by teammates and officials.
After the game, Paul was asked about the events that had transpired during the game. In typical CP3 fashion, he took a quick shot at Gobert without delving into much detail:
Bad blood brewing between Clippers and Jazz already. CP3 on Gobert: "He talks a lot. He can play, but he just talks a lot.”

This is shaping to be a fun rivalry ahead of the postseason. It’s fairly likely that the Clippers and Jazz will meet in the first round. The Jazz currently have a two-game lead on LAC for home-court advantage but are four games behind the Rockets for the third seed. The Clippers are three games ahead of the Thunder for the fourth seed.
Everybody loves a little bad blood in playoff series and we seem to be getting close to some legitimate feistiness in what should be a tightly-contested series.
