The Los Angeles Clippers will be down a healthy body for a short time as star point guard Chris Paul recovers from a fractured left index finger:
Chris Paul fractured his left index finger in practice and likely won't play today. It's believed he could play in a regular season game.

While the news is somewhat surprising and scary for Clippers fans, the good news is that Paul will not have to sit out very long. Paul missed last night’s game against the Charlotte Hornets in Shenzhen, China and he will be reevaluated Wednesday before the Clippers’ next game (also against the Hornets.)Fortunately for the Clippers, it seems as though the injury is relatively minor and in a more important time of the season, Paul would be able to play with it. Doc Rivers has verified those predictions:
Doc confirmed after loss neither CP nor AR's injuries appear to be long-term. They'll look at CP before Shanghai game but will be cautious

The Clippers will be looking to capitalize on a newfound depth at nearly every position to make a deep playoff run and perhaps win a championship. In order to do so, they need Chris Paul at full strength. They wouldbe wise to let him take as much time as needed to get fully healthy.
