It’s hard taking a loss. The Clippers are a team that look perfect for a championship run but they always come up short for some reason. Clippers leader Chris Paul knows that his chase for a ring is a big hole is his potentially HOF career and according to SLAMonline. He took the loss to OKC in the Playoffs very hard.
It was all part of the Clippers’ blowing a seven-point lead in the final 49.2 seconds of Game 5 that sent the Clippers back to Staples Center facing an elimination game that they lost to end their season. Paul was so devastated he cried in the locker room afterward.
“It would be lying to you to say I’d forgotten about it,” Paul said. “It’s one of those things that I don’t want to forget, to tell you the truth. I think for me, I feel like you have to remember things like that and therefore you don’t want that feeling again. I know I don’t.”
After that clearly crushing loss. I won’t hate on him crying. I mean think of the amount of times he’s been tipped to lead his team to the Finals. It’s astounding he hasn’t made it to the promise land yet.
Hopefully he can pick himself up, dust himself off and lead the Clippers to the Finals. Like most people have been predicting for two years.
