The Los Angeles Clippers are not one of the more well-liked teams in the NBA, and they aren’t fooling themselves about that fact. After the Clippers debut game vs. the Portland Trail Blazers (which the Clippers won 114-106), Paul said the following:
“You know what, it ain’t even that. We know we’re not one of the most liked teams in the league, and we talked about embracing it.”
That’s a good mindset to have, I think. Your team isn’t the darling of the NBA. 1) why lament about it? You can’t change it. 2) Who gives a shit? Be the villains. Accept that role, and as Paul said, embrace it.
Injuries derailed the Clippers’ chances at advancing past the first round of the playoffs last season, and they will look to stay healthy and target a championship this time around.
