The Los Angeles Clippers received some good news late Monday night. According to Rowan Kavner of Clippers.com, star point guard Chris Paul and backup PG Austin Rivers have both been cleared from injury and will be able to rejoin the team on the basketball court in their next preseason game:
Good news on injury front. Doc said Austin and CP were both able to practice today/should be available tomorrow.

Both Rivers and Paul suffered minor injuries in practice over the weekend. Paul suffered from a fractured left index finger, while Rivers had an injury to the mouth. Rivers’ injury was initially thought to be slightly more serious and his clearance is more of a surprise:
Austin Rivers initially expected he would need to wait until around Thursday to get cleared, so must have healed faster than expected

Paul, however, was always predicted to be able to play in Wednesday’s preseason matchup against the Charlotte Hornets after missing the previous bout against the same opponent. Nevertheless, his medical clearance is good news for the team as it will allow them to get as many reps as possible with their superstar running the offense. On a team with title aspirations, that practice time can be priceless.
