Chris Johnson will another chance to play in the NFL. The only question remaining is when and where.
After surviving a horrific drive-by shooting back in March, Johnson is ready to prove doubters the he is ready to play again. After watching a dear friend die in the unfortunate accident Johnson says the tragedy isn’t claiming his love for football. In a recent interview with CBS Sports, Johnson revealed his recent plans for playing in the upcoming season.
I believe Johnson still has some tread on his tires and has always found himself playing for teams with lackluster quarterback play allowing defenses to stack the box. Even if Johnson has lost a step he still remains on of the fast players in the league as he still holds a combine record of a 4.24, 40 yard dash time.
The former 2,000 yard rusher has expressed interest recently in playing for the Dallas Cowboys as they are short on runningbacks after losing DeMarco Murray to Philadelphia. Could Darren McFadden and CJ2K make a formidable duo in Dallas running behind the NFL’s most dominant offensive line? I’d be inclined to think so. A team like the Baltimore Ravens could be another possibility if they were to lose one of their three backs to an injury (Justin Forsett, Lorenzo Taliaferro, Javorius ‘Buck’ Allen). It remains to be seen where Johnson will play in 2015 but expect to see some team take a flier on him in the near future.
