The Miami Heat’s latest game was tragic. They lost against the Minnesota Timberwolves for one reason and one reason only.
Hassan Whiteside. The silver lining to Miami’s season, inbounds the ball to Norris Cole. But for some reason. Cole ordered Whiteside to go back and do it again. They got called for an out of bounds call.
WELL DONE NORRIS COLE. Once again giving me a reason to plead to Pat Riley to TRADE YOU!
The Miami Heat are clinging onto the 8th seed. Clinging is the key word there. The only reason they’re not lower is because the Brooklyn Nets are playing just as bad.
Chris Bosh. The best player for the Heat next to Dwyane Wade. Has noticed that the Heat aren’t playing well. And certainly aren’t getting results despite Hassan Whiteside’s monster emergence. He spoke to the Sun Sentinel on the state of the Heat.
“We’re not learning anything, just not learning anything. I’m talking about executing very simple things. Out of ATOs, we’re not executing that,” he said of mix-ups that even are coming after timeouts, after explicit instructions from coach Erik Spoelstra. “We’re not executing late-game situations. We’re not making the shots that we can make. We’re not trusting each other. We’re not boxing out when it’s time to box out.”
And then on Wednesday night, blowing a 10-point fourth-quarter lead at the Target Center against the lone NBA team still yet to win 10 games.
“It was a missed opportunity,” Bosh said of the latest fiasco. “And we’re not going to get it back. Things are slipping away from us.“
It’s sad to watch to be completely honest. Watching the Heat cling onto the 8th seed as if their lives depended on it.
Even though the Heat’s problem through the” Big 3″ era was the frontcourt. It is the backcourt that is embarrassing. Chalmers and Cole are non existent nearly every game. Shabazz Napier hops in and out of D-League which I accept because he’s a Rookie. Cole and Chalmers have 0 excuse. Even Tyler Johnson (Exactly. Who?) is doing better.
The Heat are going through a rough patch. That’s clear. They need to reform their squad drastically. And I have faith in Pat Riley and Erik Spoelstra. As long as they see the problems me and Chris Bosh are seeing.
