Chris Bosh has not played in an NBA game since February of 2016 and has played only 97 games since 2014 due to his ongoing battle with blood clots. Unable to play due to the high energy and risk, Bosh has been utilizing his extra time on non-basketball hobbies. Guitar, as he showcased in the NBA talent show, being the main activity he enjoys now that he can no longer play ball.
He will also briefly be working for TNT and was shown prominently during their “Players Only” broadcast on Monday. All of this is not stopping his desire to return to the league, however. During that broadcast, he stated his body is still in top shape.
“I’m feeling good, still working out and just really still staying ready”
There is still some hope Bosh returns to the court sometime soon but most indications and suggestions seem to run contrary. As outstanding as it would be to see Chris Bosh on the court again, him finding happiness in whatever happens is most important. Luckily, it appears he is actively working towards that bliss.
“I think one of the interesting things that I didn’t anticipate was my mental health, and that’s something that as athletes we have to take into regard because we’re used to a set schedule and we’re used to a certain type of world,” Bosh said. “And that’s something that I’ve really had to work on for my well-being.”
