With all this news about Dwyane Wade and his back and forth with the Miami Heat organization, it’s refreshing that the Heat get some promising news.
Some of the Heat players are already back on the court getting some reps in. Hassan Whiteside, Shabazz Napier, Zoran Dragic and James Ennis are all getting in early. And most importantly, Chris Bosh is back on the court, 4 months after getting rid of his blood clots.
Bosh has resumed court work for the first time since being sidelined at the February All-Star break due to blood clots on his lung, working Tuesday with coach Erik Spoelstra, assistant coach David Fizdale, among others.
Bosh’s recent vacation including some hikes at altitude, but his latest work in the gym is believed to not yet involve contact work.
With blood thinners part of Bosh’s treatment, there has been caution with contact drilling.
Now Bosh still has to get back in shape and obviously keep an eye on the blood, things can go bad real quick if it’s not taken care of.
But it’s great to see him back on the court and if he keeps this up, he’ll be leading the Heat just like he did in Toronto.
