Chris Bosh and his ongoing medical issues have been terrible for anyone knowledgeable about the situation, however, there may be some good news on the horizon. According to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald, a resolution has been made to get Bosh to free agency.
Chris Bosh has told family members that an agreement has been struck among the NBA, the Heat, the union and himself for Bosh to part ways with the Heat at some point in the coming weeks, with the Heat receiving maximum cap relief, an NBA-employed source said in early May and reiterated Tuesday.
This is very interesting not only for the Heat and Chris Bosh but the other 29 teams in the NBA as well. Bosh’s affliction is very serious and needs to be treated with extreme care. Deciding not only whether he can still play but whether he is healthy enough will be a hard decision. With many doctors giving differing opinions on his availability, teams may choose to be more cautious than not.
Leaning on the side of caution is not a terrible option when dealing with major health issues. It is also not ideal for Bosh’s main goal of returning to the NBA. Everyone in the NBA family wants Bosh to remain healthy and happy over everything else. Hopefully, this agreement is an exciting step in that direction.
