Just before Thanksgiving, Chlöe Bailey took to Twitter to share a snippet of a new track called “Light Flex.” Differing from her previous releases, Bailey can be heard nearly rapping as she offers a little bit of a humble brag about how dope she is in real life.
“That ain’t nothing, but a little light flex. I’m just out here stuntin’ on ex,” she rapped.
As expected, the song sparked a TikTok dance trend and left many fans wondering when the full version would be released. Well, Chlöe Bailey provided a bit of new during a recent Instagram live session. She mentioned that the song probably wouldn’t land on her album, but she didn’t completely rule out releasing it as a loosie or bonus track.
“I don’t know if it’ll be on the album. I jus think that was a little fun thing to…I don’t think it’ll make the album,” she said.
“However, if you guys want it to [make the album], let me know.
During the same Instagram Live session, she shared her excitement about what many expect to be her first solo project. While she hasn’t officially announced its release date or title, Chlöe Bailey has released the “Have Mercy” video and put on a show-stopping performance at last year’s MTV Video Music Awards.
“The songs [that are] on the album are like…y’all don’t even know,” she shared with enthusiasm.
