
During the fourth game in the playoff series against the Dallas Mavericks, an incident occurred that involved a local fan and Chris Paul’s family. According to reports from Dave McMenamin, his mother had hands put on her and his wife was pushed.
A source familiar with Chris Paul's tweet after Game 4 told ESPN that Paul's mother had hands put on her by Dallas fans and Paul's wife was also pushed. To make matters worse, Paul's kids witnessed it. "They felt very unsafe," the source said.

Later in the game, Chris Paul was made aware of the situation and he talked to security to protect his family. The fan was removed from the arena.

The Mavericks also shared a statement about the incident that transpired in their arena.
“It was unacceptable behavior and will not be tolerated. The Mavericks, along with American Airlines Center, swiftly removed the fan from today’s game.”
Paul later exppressed his thoughts about the situation on his social media and was critical on how the league has handled incidents between fans and players as of late.

The series is currently tied at two games each and team will travel to Phoenix to play Game 5 on Tuesday.
