In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, police brutality and much more, we’ve all dealt with more tough times than we’d like over the last few years. Despite these setbacks, people find a way to push through. Some find solace in being optimistic about the future. Meanwhile, others keep going because hard times aren’t anything new to them. For Georgia’s own Chino Cappin, that’s just the case. Throughout his childhood, the Fort Valley native has overcome tough times, so fighting through setbacks is nothing new to him. While he may be permanently scarred from those experiences, he continues to push through for his daughter and loved ones.

Chino Cappin’s “Permanently Scarred” showcases a more vulnerable side of the rising star. Opening about challenges in the past, the Georgia native challenges others who have experienced similar pain to search for a purpose and work towards fulfilling it.
