A new trailer or Angelina Jolie‘s film Unbroken has been released.
The movie which is being rumored for Oscar success, stars Jack O’Connell as Olympian and war hero Louis ‘Louie’ Zamperini.
Unbroken follows Zamperini’s life as he survives a near-fatal plane crash in WWII and spends 47 days on a raft with two other crewmen. Having endured that, the group are tested even further when they are caught by the Japanese Navy and sent to a prisoner of war camp.
Also in the cast are Star Wars actor Domhnall Gleeson and Finn Wittrock, who play Zamperini’s fellow crewmen stranded at sea with him.
On the Road‘s Garrett Hedlund and John Magaro round out the main cast as fellow POWs in the Japanese camp.
Zemperini died back in July, something which Jolie said was “a loss which is impossible to describe”.
Jolie has also produced the movie, and used ten-times Oscar-nominated cinematographer Roger Deakins.
Unbroken will be released on Christmas Day.
