The waiving window is still wide open with many teams cutting the fat off their rosters and looking around for maybe that final piece to their respective puzzles.
The Indiana Pacers are a potential trap team for the Playoffs and can possibly upset like they did to the Knicks a few years ago. Apparently they can do the job without Chase Budinger who is now most likely off to play for the Phoenix Suns. The Pacers had Bud on the trade block but couldn’t get anything done so they took the alternative and waived him.
Budinger’s next step? “I have no idea,” he told Sporting News after the game. “I’m just going to go with the flow and have faith. That’s about it….
“You see it a lot,” he said. “I’ve been around the NBA for long enough where, when you’ve been in locker rooms, you see situations like I’m in right now. You just have to be professional about it.”
Unfortunately Chase Budinger going to end the season on the Phoenix Suns who have had a historic free fall compared to last season.
And now as this news drops, it’s more probable that Bud will go to Phoenix now that they have recently waived Sonny Weems. Partly because they finally realised that Devin Booker can straight up ball! It’s a crime that it’s taken this long for them to unleash DBook!
Update: Budinger will indeed sign with the Phoenix Suns after clearing waivers, according to Yahoo’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
UPDATE:
The Suns have officially signed Budinger.
