The Charlotte Hornets have had an extremely exciting offseason thus far and it’s only getting better. Charlotte revealed their brand new black alternate uniforms, featuring “Buzz City” on the front. The trim colors are the main ones in the logo, a cool teal and deep purple. Personally I love the new look but I do also have some issues with the uniform. First of all, I really don’t like the new sleeved jerseys NBA has been trying to incorporate, I think it’s just unnecessary. Also even though Buzz City seems really cool since their team name is the Hornets, they should’ve just stuck to the true nickname of the city of Charlotte, which is Queen City. Other than that I think these jerseys are a cool way to add some black into the color base. They get a good review from me, unlike those hideous Los Angeles Clippers uniforms that came out a couple weeks ago.
The offseason has brought in new talent and now a new look for the Hornets. They improved substantially talent-wise already this offseason adding a couple of quality swingmen in Jeremy Lamb and Nicolas Batum. The future truly does look bright in Charlotte. Here are a couple of more looks at the new uniforms:
