Emmy Award Winning TNT analyst Charles Barkley spoke with a Chicago radio station last week discussing how he believed he had the Orlando Magic’s president job in 2017. The ’round mound of rebound’ was a top candidate, according to him.
Barkley said that he was interviewed for the position, and accordingly, it went so well that he was sure he was going to get the job.

During the interview, Barkley noted that he watches more basketball than most General Managers in the league. Excluding only San Antonio Spurs GM R.C. Buford and Charlotte Hornets GM Mitch Kupchak.
The Hall of Famer said, “I felt like I deserved the job” he also went on to say, “Clearly I think I’m overqualified to be a GM.”
Unfortunately, to his surprise, the Phoenix Suns legend did not get the job. As he said the Magic, “Wanted to go the analytical route.”
Orlando decided to hire former Toronto Raptors GM Jeff Weltman.
