
DaBaby, whose real name is Jonathan Kirk, was facing charges of carrying a concealed gun, in connection to a deadly Walmart shooting in Huntersville, N.C. in November. All charges against the Charlotte rapper have now been dropped.
WSOCTV reports that on November 5, 2018, 19-year-old Jalyn Craig was shot and killed during a fight inside the Huntersville Walmart. Police arrived at the scene after shots were fired inside the store and “found several individuals involved with the incident.” According to Police, Craig was shot in the abdomen and died at the scene. Four individuals were brought into custody by the Huntersville Police Department for questioning.
Shortly after the incident, DaBaby confirmed his involvement in the deadly Walmart shooting, stating it was an act of self-defense. He was the only individual charged in connection to the shooting.
