Chance The Rapper announces the cancellation of the previously postponed “The Big Tour” to spend time with his family.
Presented as his debut album, Chance The Rapper released The Big Day in July 2019 with features from Megan Thee Stallion, Nicki Minaj, DaBaby and more. Shortly after the release, which peaked at the No. 2 spot on Billboard’s 200 chart, Chance The Rapper announced a fall tour promoting the album which he postponed until 2020.
“This year has been one of the greatest of my life; Marriage, new baby, first album etc. But with it being so eventful it has also been very strenuous having to divide my time and energy between family and work.” writes Chance The Rapper on Instagram.
Now, fans may have to catch the Chicago artist on a festival stage or television program. Chance The Rapper announces the 2020 tour has been canceled for similar reasons. Instead of heading out on tour, Chance The Rapper plans to spend time with his growing family and create new music.
Announcing the cancelation on social media, Chance the rapper expresses gratitude for faithful fans who supported both his album and tour. Chance The Rapper is booked to perform during the spring 2020 installment of the Pharrell Williams curated ‘Something In The Water’ festival in Virginia, Beach.
