
September 25 provided a number of wild finishes and shocking upsets in the world of college football. As a result, there was a good amount of movement within the Associated Press Top 25 poll.
Following a loss to the North Carolina State Wolfpack, the Clemson Tigers have become the 25th ranked team in the nation. This is the first time in 97 weeks that the Clemson Tigers have fallen out of the top ten. Clemson was not the only school to feel the repercussions of a bad loss on Saturday. Wisconsin, Iowa State and North Carolina all fell out of the AP Top 25 after losing on Saturday.
There are a few bright spots in the AP’s Top 25 poll this week. For the first time since 2012, the Arkansas Razorbacks are a top ten football team. Also, the Baylor Bears beat Iowa State and snuck into the AP Top for the first time since 2019. Not to mention, the Cincinnati Bearcats inched one spot closer to the top five after taking the week off to prepare for Nore Dame.
Week five of college football promises to be filled with a number of top 15 matchups. Ole Miss will challenge Alabama, Notre Dame will take on Cincinnatti and Arkansas will face off against Georgia.
