Another day, another injury for the Boston Celtics.
The Celtics Leandro Barbosa is the latest victim to injuries, he hurt himself without facing any contact during the third quarter of the Celtics 94-91 defeat to the hands of the struggling Charlotte Bobcats. Barbosa was going to the basket, stopped, made a pivot move and after passing the ball to a teammate he started limping.
He’ll have a MRI Today in Boston for his left knee. Barbosa didn’t talked to reporters after the game, but Kevin Garnett told the media that Barbosa was likely out for the rest of the season. If he’s out, that’s a huge blow to the team, which has already lost Rajon Rondo with an ACL injury and rookie Jared Sullinger with a back injury.
Barbosa, 30, signed with the Celtics for the veteran’s minimum right before the season started. The “Brazilian Blur” has played with the Phoenix Suns, Toronto Raptors and Indiana Pacers before joining the Celtics.
