Isaiah Thomas made his Boston Celtics debut last night against the C’s arch-rival, the Los Angles Lakers but his night was cut short.
After a trade from the Phoenix Suns saw Thomas sent to the Celtics in a exchange for Marcus Thornton and picks, Isaiah met up with Boston at the perfect time, when they took on the Lakers in Los Angeles. Thomas made a small impact in his first minutes with Boston by scoring 21 points, grabbing 5 rebounds and handing out 3 assists in only 25 minutes of play.
His night ended early due to an ejection he received after disagreeing with the referees and was issued a double technical. He was called for a questionable travel/offensive interference and he was immediately voiced his frustrations with the call. The refs didn’t like Thomas’ reaction too much, including his slamming of the basketball, so they sent Isaiah Thomas to the showers with 5 minutes remaining in a tight contest between the Lakers and Celtics.
