Cecily Strong, a Saturday Night Live cast favorite, will be joining Jessica Chastain for Plus One, a comedy that “follows a single woman (Chastain), who realizes she has limited choices in girlfriends who can join her on the single’s scene because all of her close friends are married or about to be. She finds an unlikely wingman – or should that be wingwoman – in Strong’s loud, sexually uninhibited livewire” (Deadline).
Patrick Brice is in place to direct from a script penned by April Prosser. Although the project is not yet set in stone, Gloria Sanchez Productions will plan to produce.
Strong can be seen on Saturday Night Live, and in the upcoming Ghostbusters movie alongside Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, and Leslie Jones.
Catch Chastain in theaters with Chris Hemsworth, for The Huntsman: Winter’s War.
