
As the regular season is set to end this coming Wednesday, the Cleveland Cavaliers are poised and ready to defend their title. Because of that, the Cavaliers have been making moves all season long in order to bolster their roster and create some depth.
However, early season injuries to both J.R Smith and Iman Shumpert left the Cavaliers depleted at the shooting guard position. The Cavaliers leaned on 6-year player DeAndre Liggins to fill the void in the meantime as those players nursed injuries. Unfortunately, the acquisition of Kyle Korver and the return of both Smith and Shumpert stacked the odds against Liggins’ time with the Cavaliers moving forward.

As for the open roster spot entering the playoffs, the Cavs will reportedly sign veteran forward Dahntay Jones.

Jones was a member of Cleveland’s championship team last season and will come in as a familiar face. Jones’ professionalism and veteran player mentality will once again fit right in with the Cavs as the playoffs start up shortly.
