Cavs, Clippers, Heat Reportedly Interested In Mo Williams
Mo Williams is a veteran guard with still enough to contribute as a role player. If anything, his career-high 52-point game this season made that fully evident.
Williams may not be that hot of a commodity, but his services might be up for grabs, and there are teams that would be willing to take him off of Minnesota’s hands.
Jon Krawczynski of the Associated Press:
And on Wolves trade front: Don’t get any sense the Wolves have any desire to part with Kevin Martin, Pek, maybe even Young. Mo is available.

And Darren Wolfson of 1500 ESPN Twin Cities:
Teams to watch on the Mo Williams front: Cavs, Clippers, and Heat. Small chance Detroit. Nothing imminent. #Twolves return will be minimal.

Where Williams would be best fitted is in a back up point guard role. The Cavaliers have been focused on landing themselves one of those, and despite Doc Rivers bringing his son aboard, the Clippers are still in search of one as well. Miami simply continues to compensate for the loss of LeBron James by looking to add as many productive bodies as possible. Wolfson also cited Detroit, who obviously wants another point guard in the rotation after losing Brandon Jennings for the season.
The trade deadline is approaching fast. Doesn’t seem likely Minnesota would get back any true value for Mo Williams at this point. He’s averaging 12.5 points per game this season.
