Free agency started very well for the Cleveland Cavaliers. While LeBron James and J.R. Smith both opted out of their deals but they are expected to return, they had some issues with other important names that got resolved.
Earlier this week, they locked up Timofey Mozgov for next year and they agreed to terms with both Kevin Love and Tristan Thompson on the first day of free agency.
While LeBron will be waiting for other moves to happen and J.R. Smith has yet to do anything in free agency, the Cavs did meet with one other important piece. Iman Shumpert met with the Cavs but was unable to strike a deal with the team.
