The Cleveland Cavaliers carried momentum into Game 3 of the NBA Finals against the Golden State Warriors as they were able to tie the series 1-1 with an overtime win in-game 2. Both teams were going to enter Cleveland in a best of 5 series now. Game 3 was just as exciting as all the other games so far. With so much on the line, everyone came to perform. Matthew Dellavedova continued to be the MVP of the game either then LeBron James.
In the first half it was all LeBron James basketball. Yes, I say LeBron James basketball because that is what the Cleveland Cavaliers revolve around. Iman Shumpert hurt his shoulder but he returned to contribute not much other than a 3-pointer. The big thing was the Cleveland Cavaliers defense, which made the #1 offensive in the NBA score 37 points in the first half.
In the second half the Cleveland Cavaliers continued to put the pressure on the best team in the NBA the Golden State Warriors. After a 12-0 run by the Cavaliers in the 3rd quarter they extended the lead to up 20 points. In the 4th quarter the Warriors used an interesting lineup that looked like the Warriors in 2011, with David Lee, Curry, Thompson, Iguodala and Barbosa. They eventually tied the game with the Cavaliers multiple times, but the Finals experience of the Cavaliers allowed them to stop the Warriors run.

LeBron James scored 40 points, had 12 points and dished out 8 assists. The mini-MVP of the NBA Finals and the most surprising second scorer Matthew Dellavedova with 20 points and 5 rebounds. Stephen Curry started the game and struggled through the first half scoring only 3 points, but he exploded in the second half, finishing with 27 points and 6 rebounds.
The Cleveland Cavaliers finish off the game 96-91 and now lead the series 2-1. The ‘underdog’ Cavaliers now have control of the series and have the ability to basically finish off the series in Game 4 in Cleveland. The pressure is now on Golden State and the MVP Stephen Curry. Can they reach their goal and essentially have the perfect season? Will LeBron James pull off one of the greatest upsets in Finals histories and secure his legacy as one of the greats.
