So the Cleveland Cavaliers are still in the NBA Finals and for once they want to play in Oakland simply because it means they won game 6 and it will go to 7.
The Cavs have a good balance of young and experienced players, something that every team should have. For Cleveland it’s Richard Jefferson who has been more productive than Kevin Love and Mo Williams who has lived on the oak.
But if you’re on the oak at the NBA Finals, you can’t complain much, life is pretty good and that must be Mo Williams’ mindset as he picks up his player option for next season.
Williams, 33, signed a modest two-year, $4.3 million deal last season and the second year contained a player option. The deadline for him to opt out is June 16, a league source told cleveland.com. He will earn approximately $2.2 million next season.
The Cavaliers are aware of his intentions.
How beautiful is it to get $2.2 Million just to play some professional basketball for a little bit and spend every year knowing that he might get a championship ring out of it.
Ah that’s the dream right there.
