In 2016, Casey Veggies was working with all the resources that a major label offers. Backed by the likes of Roc Nation and Epic Records, he recruited Chris Brown, Ty Dolla $ign and Dom Kennedy for the fourth installment of his Customized Greatly series. Four years later, he’s working as an independent artist to continue the series as he enters a new phase of his career.
“I wanted a certain integrity when it came to my creative process. I stopped worrying about the outside pressure and focused on me and my element. I went back to making music that felt good to me,” he told Respect Magazine.
“Before getting heavy into the game, I used to play basketball. I drifted from that lane completely when I was 18. Shortly after, I met Hov and was signed to Epic Records and Roc Nation by the time I was 19. I was just a young kid following my dreams growing up in Inglewood.”
As an older, wiser artist working with the freedom that independence brings, Casey Veggies has dropped Customized Greatly V. The new project includes Wiz Khalifa, D Smoke, Tink and Nno. Check out the new project below.
