Casanova is being sued for allegedly assaulting a woman in a New York City diner last August. According to TMZ, the alleged victim Niya Rucker, says she was recording an Instagram Live video of her meal at the Good Stuff Diner. That’s when Casanova, who was also at the diner, “mistakenly believed” she was recording him and two women the rapper was dining with.
Rucker claims that the rapper told a man he was also dining with to “take whatever action” was necessary to get Niya’s phone … “including physical force.” The victim says the man placed her in a “strangulation grip, grabbed her phone and deleted the video she’d already posted.” After the attack, Rucker posted a video of the aftermath, showing her mouth and chin bleeding.
According to the lawsuit, Rucker suffered a fractured jaw, damaged teeth, loss of consciousness, a split-up, and more. Rucker is suing for assault and battery. Casanova turned himself in a week after the August attack and was charged with felony second-degree robbery.
