
This January, the small screen will be filled with new and returning shows. Coming back to television, Grown-ish, The Blacklist, True Detective and more will look to keep their fan bases happy. Other shows like Schooled and Black Monday will look to make strong debuts. Among the many shows looking to make a strong debut in January is Carmen Sandiego. Netflix revealed today that the cartoon original series will hit the streaming platform on January 18th 2019. In a tweet, Netflix told subscribers, “When in the world is Carmen Sandiego coming to Netflix? January 18! Who’s ready to go on an adventure with Gina Rodriguez and Finn Wolfhard?”

The new series will have Gina Rodriguez as the voice behind the timeless Carmen Sandiego character. In addition, Finn Wolfhard of Stranger Things will voice the character of Player, Carmen Sandiego’s friend. The series will look to live up to previous iterations such as the PBS game show and Fox animated version that ran from 1994-199. The newest Netflix take on the series will be based directly on the 1985 computer version entitled, Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?
