There were reports early on Tuesday that President of the New York Knicks Phil Jackson could go back to coaching next season, in a limited role. Jackson, who won a total of 11 championships as a coach with the Lakers and Bulls, is reportedly considering coaching home games for the Knicks.
Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony has doubts about the idea. From Frank Isola of the New York Daily News:
Melo on Phil coaching only home games: "Nah, nah, nah. I don't think that should be accepted. I wouldn't accept that if that was the case."

Without more context, it’s really difficult to know what Anthony meant by his comments. It sounds like he meant that he doesn’t think that the move would be accepted league-wide, and Carmelo understands and agrees with that attitude. It is strange that Melo would publicly say that he “wouldn’t accept” a move made by the team’s president. Like, what’s he going to do if Jackson does coach home games?
For that reason, I think it’s probably more likely that Carmelo meant that if he were on another team he wouldn’t accept it — Sort of an “if I were in their shoes” type of thing.
