We haven’t even started the NBA season and the New York Knicks are showing some cracks.
How do I know? Well the fact that Carmelo Anthony is damage controlling what seems to be nothing perfectly suggests that not all is well in the Big Apple. Here’s what Melo said to the New York Daily News.
“I can’t really worry about what other people are worrying about, whether it works for me or not,” said Anthony, who finished with nine points on 4-of-6 shooting in 15 minutes against Toronto as the Knicks dropped to 1-2 this preseason. “I go out there and I don’t have a choice but to make it work. Whether it takes now or it takes later, we don’t have a choice but to make this work. I told you all early on, media day, I’m willing to take that chance to try to make it work and be patient with it.”
Well that’s convenient because the Knicks damn sure ain’t winning anything for some time. So you better have patience. Whether you play for the Knicks or support the Knicks. You’re going to have to be extremely patient.
