Aside from Kevin Durant signing with the Golden State Warriors, Dwyane Wade leaving Miami was the biggest shock this off-season. Wade signed a two-year deal with the Chicago Bulls, leaving Miami for real. According to Carmelo Anthony, Wade almost decided to sign with the New York Knicks:
Carmelo reveals NYK had “a chance” to sign Dwyane Wade but timing wasn’t right. “If it was 2 days earlier we probably would have had D-Wade”

Wade in New York would have been interesting. Him and Derrick Rose would have been odd in the back court, as they both cannot shoot well. Wade and Anthony are best friends though, and it could have been the start of a super team that these two, Chris Paul, and LeBron James have discussed creating. In the end, I think that Wade would have liked to stay in Miami, but Chicago will be a better choice for Wade to end his career. He is from Chicago, but it would have been cool to see Wade and Carmelo on the same team.
