Here we go again. This is getting silly now.
Carmelo Anthony is taking so many L’s you’d think he’s playing for Philadelphia.
In a piece by Michael Lee of the Washington Post. Carmelo Anthony spoke about his possible fate of becoming the latest member of the “Great players with 0 rings” club. Saying that he’s already a winner. Come again?
“At the end of the day, we all know what the goal is, and that’s to win a championship,” Anthony said, “I know that I’m a winner. Even though you might lose some games here or there, I know I’m a winner. I’ve won already. I’ve won off the court and on the court. I’m living the American dream. That’s winning to me. Nobody can say anything about being a loser.”
This is the classic case of somebody saying they have won at the game of life. That’s basically what he’s saying.
Well I can give him props that he started with nothing and became a multimillionaire at 19. But unfortunately winning at life isn’t everything when it comes to sports. Legacies is what’s important.
Please Carmelo Anthony. Stop talking. We can all easily forget about your tiff with Tim Hardaway Jr. We can all forget about the fact you picked New York over Chicago. Just stop talking!
