Carlos Boozer is coming back to the NBA! The 13-year veteran told Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical that he is healthy and ready to make a return after taking a one year break.
“I have been working out hard all year, and I miss the game. I want to play again.”
Boozer mentions that he and his agent will be waiting on other free agents to make decisions before one of their own. The power forward, who last played for the Lakers, believes he can bring a veteran presence to any team he joins. His experiences as a long-time vet could prove valuable to a young team.
More importantly, Boozer believes he is healthy and ready to contribute to an NBA team once again. From Wojnarowski:
Boozer says he’s been working out five to six days a week and believes that his body has benefited from the rest of a year away from the league’s grind.
Carlos Boozer may not be able to provide much on the court anymore outside of some standstill shooting. But his experiences can be very valuable off of it. It would not be shocking if a young team brought him on board as their 15th man to help in the development of their players.
