Carlos Boozer was obviously going to be signed at some point this season, but the only question was where? Well, according to a new report from Yahoo Sports Shams Charania, he has recently met with the Milwaukee Bucks head coach Jason Kidd and GM John Hammond in LA. The meeting was positive, and it seems as if Boozer may be a Buck some time this Holiday season.
“Boozer had a positive meeting with Bucks coach Jason Kidd and general manager John Hammond in Los Angeles, sources said. Milwaukee suffered consecutive double-digit losses to the Lakers and Clippers this week.
Bucks center Greg Monroe remains sidelined because of a sprained MCL in his right knee, and the team has lacked reserve frontcourt contributions aside from John Henson.”
The former Duke standout has been in the league for 13 seasons, and over his career he has averaged 16.2 PPG, 9.5 RPG, and 2.2 APG. He is a two-time All-Star, and he would be a great veteran role player to come off of the bench for the young Bucks team.
Last season, Boozer averaged 11.8 PPG and 6.8 RPG while shooting nearly 50% from the field, but he went unsigned this offseason. You knew Boozer wouldn’t go unsigned throughout the season, and here he is about to help out the Bucks as they shoot for the playoffs.
