It’s expected that the Seattle Seahawks will sign former Philadelphia Eagles corner Cary Williams. The teams are essentially swapping players as the Eagles are expected to sign former Seattle cover man Byron Maxwell. Williams was released by the Eagles in order to create cap space.
Expect the 30 year old Williams to be tested regularly with Richard Sherman playing on the opposite side of the field. He should ,however, benefit from the presence of Earl Thomas over the top.
Williams is expected to sign a three year deal worth $18 million according to NFL media insider Ian Rapaport.
