For the second year in a row, an important member of the Arizona Cardinals has been lost for the season. Last year, Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer was lost for the remainder of their successful surprise season due to injury.
This season, the Cardinals were no surprise but they still lost an important member of their team due to injury. Starting safety Tyrann Mathieu has torn his ACL and he will miss the remainder of the season.

The Cardinals win last night was shrouded by the concern over Mathieu. Tyrann made an interception towards the end of the game to seal the Cardinals victory but it might have all come in vain now that he’s going to be lost for the season due to the second ACL tear of his career.
He’s had a stellar year so far totaling five interceptions on the season, which ranked sixth in the NFL.
