While Larry Fitzgerald elected to return to the Arizona Cardinals this summer, it appears that the number two receiver on the Cardinals depth chart, Michael Floyd, may be missing some time.
Floyd, entering his fourth season out of Notre Dame, has dislocated three fingers on his left hand and will be out up to a month.

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Michael Floyd is expected to miss three to four weeks after dislocating three fingers on his left hand in Wednesday’s practice, a source told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Earlier media reports disclosed that Floyd’s fingers were broken and that his timetable for a return to the field was approximately six weeks.
Floyd suffered the injury in the first 45 minutes of Wednesday’s practice. He left and did not return.
Floyd caught 95 passes for 841 yards and a career-high six touchdowns last season. The Cardinals picked up the fifth-year option on his rookie deal in April and with good reason considering that Fitzgerald was already locked up at the time so solidifying their receiving core was key.
Floyd is expected to miss the entire preseason and his future for the Cardinals Week 1 game at home against the New Orleans Saints might be in jeopardy. After making the playoffs last season, without starting quarterback Carson Palmer, the Cardinals need to hit the ground running to start this season. They won’t be catching anyone off-guard this season. They need to be on top of their game to start this season, especially against a hungry Saints team that could be also looking to be a surprise playoff team this year, much like Arizona was last year.
