Cardi B and Offset may not be taking the stage at halftime, but they are certainly co-stars in this year’s Super Bowl production. Just moments before kickoff, the award-winning couple co-starred in McDonald’s Super Bowl LVII ad. Alongside a number of other couples from around the world, the two stars lovingly bonded over knowing each other’s orders at the fast-food chain.
“He likes a quarter-pounder,” Cardi B said about Offset.
“And a Hi-C. He’s a simple man.
The couple not only appeared in the Super Bowl LVII ad, but they also collaborated with the fast-food chain to craft their own limited-edition meal.
“Introducing the Cardi B & Offset meal, coming 2.14,” the brand tweeted.
Unfortunately, the items included in the limited-edition meal are still under wraps. With that said, it is an exciting opportunity for Cardi B and Offset to join a star-studded collection of musicians to earn their own McDonald’s meal. In the past, Travis Scott, J Balvin and BTS. Elsewhere, NBA star Ja Morant has put together a Popeyes meal while NBA champion Klay Thompson had his own Shake Shack order once upon a time.
“We unlocked something with Travis Scott, BTS, and Saweetie, but at their hearts, those were [just] campaigns,” McDonald’s Chief Marketing Officer Tariq Hassan told Complex.
“What we’ve done since then is we’ve unlocked a strategy [that] goes back to this idea of being [part of] an iconic culture.”
