It’s crazy how time flies by.
When Cardi B dropped her debut, GRAMMY Award-winning album, Invasion of Privacy, in 2018, Donald Glover had just released the infamous Teddy Perkins episode of Atlanta, and Drake was gearing up for the release of Scorpion with his single, “Nice For What.” She would go on to win Best Rap Album at the GRAMMYs, star in Super Bowl commercials, and get co-signs from the likes of Jay-Z and Denzel Washington. Little did the world know that nearly a decade would pass before she dropped her next project. While it was a long wait, the time has come to dive into Cardi B’s long-awaited sophomore LP, Am I The Drama?
Am I The Drama? is a 23-track effort featuring a wide array of artists across multiple generations, including Janet Jackson, Tyla, and Lizzo, to name a few. It also includes a few of the Bronx native’s past hits like “Up” and “WAP” featuring Megan Thee Stallion, as well as more recent releases like “Imaginary Playerz” and “Outside.” Along the way, she seemingly addresses several of her contemporaries, celebrates her success, and discusses the rumors and events surrounding her personal life.
Am I The Drama? is the precursor for a busy 2026 for Cardi B that will include the birth of her child with Steffon Diggs, a world tour, and potentially much more. While we wait to see what she has up her sleeve next, check out Cardi B’s sophomore album, Am I The Drama?
