Cameron Wake’s season is over!
According to NFL.com’s Ian Rappoport Dolphins premier pass rusher Cameron Wake has torn his Achilles abruptly ending his season. Wake was carted to the locker room in the third quarter of a 36-7 loss to the Patriots. Wake ended the game with two tackles and a sack before suffering the injury.
The loss of Wake cannot be understated as the team also lost starting left tackle Ju’Waun James due to a toe injury. Interim coach Dan Campbell will have to overcome this injury as Miami is currently outside of the playoff hunt with a 3-4 record. 4th year man Terrence Shelby will presumably take over Wake’s starting job.
Miami will travel to Buffalo next week to take on the Bills.
