The Texas native is ranked 2nd in the class of 2020 behind Evan Mobley. Cunningham plays high school basketball at Montverde Academy and played on the EYBL Circuit for the Texas Titans. The jumbo guard averaged 23.8 PPG, 7.0 RPG, and 5.7 APG over the course of the circuit.
There is a family tie to one of the schools that made the list. Cunningham’s brother, Cannen Cunningham, was hired as an assistant coach at Oklahoma State in June. Although, the younger brother still maintains his recruitment is open despite the hiring of his brother. For Kentucky, they make the cut list for yet another 5-star recruit. Per 247Sports, he has not taken any official visits yet. An important space to watch will be if and when he schedules an official visit to these five schools.
With the field narrowed to five, it is reasonable to expect a commitment in the near future. Considering Cuningham is a top player in his class, look for a landscape-altering decision to be on the way.
