Kay Felder had a nice start to his career after being selected by the defending champion Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2016 NBA Draft. Felder was viewed as the Cavs backup point guard to Kyrie Irving and he even appeared in 42 games in his rookie campaign. But the Cavs needed to cut some salary to avoid a massive luxury tax hit and unfortunately, Felder was a victim of the NBA salary cap.
Felder was traded to the Atlanta Hawks alongside Richard Jefferson and both players were unceremoniously waived by Atlanta shortly after.
The Chicago Bulls eventually signed Felder to start the season giving him a chance to break in with a team looking for a breakout star as they rebuild. As the season has gone on, Felder was demoted on the rotation in favor of Kris Dunn and Jerian Grant. Now Felder once again finds himself as a free agent after the Bulls announced they waived the guard out of Oakland University.

It will be interesting to see both what the Bulls do with their open roster spot and where Felder might land, if anywhere.
