T’was the night before Christmas and everyone is getting ready. Ready for the presents on Christmas morning, ready for the always amazing Christmas dinner. Ready for one of the most dismal looking Christmas Day games in recent history.
It’s not the NBA’s fault. I remember when the league released the schedule and we were all licking our lips in excitement looking at the five Christmas Day games… It’s unfortunate that most of the teams playing tomorrow are an out and out eyesore. But you know what? I don’t care, and you shouldn’t either. It’s Christmas Day and I get to watch my favourite sport on a day of celebration. NFL fans, football fans (soccer. Leave me alone I’m English) and MLB fans can’t say that.
First game of five. The Chicago Bulls (10-16) face the Brooklyn Nets (9-18) at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
This is looking to be an ugly game with a capital U. Paul Pierce and KG come off one of the worst combined shooting nights in their illustrious partnership, Lopez and D Rose are both out for the season and now that I think about it. It’s the battle of two of the most injury ridden teams in the league.
But what I like about this game is that it makes all the other games look good. So that’s something…
I’m going to watch this because I live and breath basketball and no matter how bad this looks on paper you forget that there is rarely a bad NBA game. So when you wake up. Click this on. You never know, this might see something that surprises you… Remember the old NBA slogan “Where Amazing Happens”.
Chicago for the win 94-90.
