Chicago Bulls point guard and former MVP Derrick Rose underwent successful surgery on his meniscus on Friday. There wasn’t too many people that had hopes that Rose would return this season and some even were concerning what he might do for the remainder of his career.
Now according to the Bulls GM Gar Forman, Derrick Rose will be coming back to the Bulls, hopefully before the playoffs.
From KC Johnson of the Chicago Tribune.

If Rose does return for the Bulls in 4 weeks, he can play 9 games for Chicago before the playoffs, if he does come back in 6 weeks, he’ll play in 3 games for the team. Nate Robinson has express his interest in returning to play for Chicago and the Bulls have played well this year with Jimmy Butler putting up the best numbers of his career and Pau Gasol looking like a whole new basketball player this season.
The big question when Rose returns is how effective will he be? It’s taken him sometime when he came back the last 2 times due to injury and now he’ll be shoved right into the middle of a highly contested playoff run for the Bulls.
Chicago currently sits 4th in the Eastern Conference standings and they’ll be looking at Rose, as soon as he returns, to show them some sort of former MVP action.
