
Buju Banton is back in a major way. Nearly a year after being released from prison, the legendary artist has announced a new partnership with Roc Nation. The new deal became public this past Friday.
Roc Nation co-presidents Shari Bryant and Omar Grant stated, “It’s an honor to work with a legend and trailblazer of Buju’s caliber –His music catalog is simply unparalleled. We’re thrilled to help propel his legacy forward and look forward to amplifying his resurgence on a global level.”
The announcement comes just days after he completed his Long March To Freedom tour. After being away for a period of time, his fan base is as strong as ever. During the tour, he brought our more than 30,000 people to the National Stadium in Kingston, Jamacia. His performance marked the first time a Jamaican artist had headlined a sold out show there since Bob Marley in 1978.
