The Swoosh continues to rule the world of American sports. Every year it seems that they get the best NBA prospects on the market without much battle from Under Armour or Adidas.
It’s official that Nike have locked up the no.1 prospect in Ben Simmons. I find it odd that Brandon Ingram doesn’t have a deal yet but Nike have gotten my personal favourite in the NBA Draft, Oklahoma’s Buddy Hield.
Top NBA prospect Buddy Hield, an All-America guard from Oklahoma, has agreed to a multiyear footwear and apparel endorsement deal with Nike, sources told The Vertical.
The deal was negotiated by his agent, Rob Pelinka, of Landmark Sports.
Hield, a 22-year-old native of the Bahamas and the Big 12 Player of the Year the last two seasons, also won the John R. Wooden Award and Naismith Trophy as college basketball’s best player. Hield is known for his scoring prowess, averaging 25 points on 50 percent shooting during his senior season.
I love this guys’ offensive ability and he isn’t bad a defender either. I think he will become a great two-way player if he really wants to be great. Nike locked up a good one.
